Knowledge exchange (KE), defined by UK Research and Innovation as ‘the wide range of activities [higher education providers] undertake with partners’ is at the heart of all activities at the RNCM.

This might take the form of students performing in public concerts serving local, national, and international audiences; pre-tertiary school children participating in workshops, summer schools, and short courses; and staff sharing research, performances, and compositions with communities around the world.

The Knowledge Exchange Framework (KEF) sits alongside Research England’s Research Excellence Framework and Teaching Excellence Framework.
